From Detection to Action – Enhancing Combined Cycle Plant Performance

Date Aired: Wednesday, August 21, 2024

Synopsis

Watch this webinar deep-dive on Metroscope’s plant diagnostics software and method including examples on how the approach changes the way plants detect, diagnose, and action plant faults to maximize performance. This session provides an overview of the Metroscope automated detection method leveraging a digital twin and showcases plant detection cases and the tangible gains achieved. During this 75-minute session, participants will hear from the Metroscope team based in Virginia, the Metroscope operations team based in Paris, and our partner Tetra Engineering. Learn how Metroscope’s technology enables more than 70 power plants worldwide to proactively identify issues, assess their impact, and implement corrective actions that enhance efficiency and reliability.

Key Takeaways for End Users

    • Plant performance is strongly linked with ability to diagnose and restore the plant from degraded conditions
    • Actionability is the key to diagnostics value
    • The drivers of actionability are automation, whole-plant diagnostics, and quantification of faults
    • These are achievable through a digital twin-based approach with diagnostic inference
    • Metroscope technology has accumulated substantial experience in gas and steam cycles since 2018, achieving significant, measurable gains (5 MWe average losses diagnosed)
